Mahama Fatawu Tobile popularly called DJ Tobile, was born on the 17th of April 1993. Having been the entertainment prefect at T I AMASS, DJ Tobile developed the interest to be a DJ and has had the opportunity to showcase his talent on many platforms. He had his first radio experience on Wa UDS campus base radio station formerly known as Radio Fids as a town DJ while he was still in senior high school. This was possible during school holidays when UDS students go on vacation.

After completing in 2013, DJ Tobile had the opportunity to be a DJ for Echo Sounds Entertainment, a renowned entertainment institution in the Upper West Region. DJ Tobile’s name became a household one due to his affiliation with Echo Sounds; he begun to play at various event grounds and entertainment programs.

Management of the then newly opened W FM saw him perform at a festival and approached him to work with them. He has since then contributed immensely to the popularity of the radio station in the Region and beyond. His programs are relatively, the most listened to programs on the station.

In 2015, he was awarded the second best DJ award in the Upper West Region. DJ Tobile was crowned the best DJ in the Northern Entertainment Awards for the three Northern Regions 2016 at the Tamale sports stadium and also as the best DJ in the upper west region 2016. Since then, he has been playing at high-profile programs and can be named arguably as one of the most popular DJs in the Region. Being a versatile DJ, Tobile doesn’t limit himself to only radio stations, he also has been the main DJ for the one of the finest night clubs in the Region ” Queens Valley” from 14 February 2014 till date.

Although his line of profession takes much of his time, DJ Tobile has been able to combine it with his education quite impressively. He is currently a teacher trainee at NJA College of Education where his is the entertainment secretary.

Although having contributed immensely to the entertainment industry in the Upper West Region, he believes that he still can contribute more. He expressed his desire to promote young but talented musicians from the region and other individuals who want to became professional DJs like himself.

DJ Tobile has successfully trained other DJs who are in other radio stations and doing well on their own. For DJ Tobile, the Rush Ghana DJ awards have come at a right time and he believes that he will win the best DJ for the Upper West Region.
