Autobiography of Mahama Fatawu (D J Tobile.)
I was born Mahama Fatawu Tobile but popularly called DJ Tobile. I was born on 17th April 1993. I developed the interest to be a D J at infancy and I have the opportunity to showcase my talent when I was the entertainment prefect at T I AMASS.I had my first radio experience on Wa UDS campus base radio station as a town Dj while I was in senior high school. This was possible during holidays when UDS students goes for holidays and myself as well.
After completing in 2013, I had the opportunity of being a DJ for Echo Sounds entertainment, a renowned entertainment company in the Upper West Region. My name began to gain popularity in the villages and event grounds.
Fortunately, I was call at W 93.5 fm, a newly established radio station by then after management saw my display at a festival grounds with Echo sounds. I did all my best with hard work and I believe I have contributed immensely to the popularity of the radio station in the Region and beyond. My programs are relatively, the most listened programs on the station.
I was awarded the second best DJ award in the Upper West Region in year 2015. I never limited myself to only the radio station, I am the main DJ for the only night club in the Region ” Queens Valley” from 14 February 2014 till date.
I was again crowned the best Dj on Northern Entertainment Awards for the three Northern Regions 2016 at the Tamale sports stadium and also I was crown again as the best Dj in the upper west region 2016.
Since then, I have been doing high profiled programs and can say that I am the most popular DJ in the Region now.
I have combined this very well with my education and am currently a teacher trainee at NJA College of Education where I am the entertainment secretary.
I have contributed and still want to contribute more in the entertainment industry. I do very well in promoting very young talented musicians from the region and others who want to become whom I am.
I have successfully trained others as DJs who are in other radio stations doing well and others with sound owners in the Region.Am currently having three trainees to my credit and two are working with other radio stations in the region.
It is my believe that getting to the national space like the Ghana Best DJ Awards, would put me in a better platform to influence society positively through the entertainment industry.
